he Bears have yet to see what new cornerback Marcus Cooper will bring to the field in 2017, but the coveted free-agent addition has already proven his worth off the field with inspirational messages to fans on social media.

He was at it again on Friday, revealing on Twitter the reason he decided to sign in Chicago.

Of all the teams Cooper could have signed with, the Bears seem like an unlikely match if winning was atop his wish list. Coming off a 3-win season, Chicago is at one of its lowest points in franchise history.

Of course, a three-year, $16 million deal for a player who’s started 17 games over the last three seasons can make any team look like a potential winner.
